Coke oven machinery

HDM has been involved in the design and manufacturing of coke oven machinery since the 1950s, supplying nearly 630 sets of coke oven equipment to around 300 customers domestically and internationally. Their product range includes top-charging and stamping coke oven machinery, heat recovery equipment, coke bucket lifters, and more, catering to the needs of the metallurgical industry with reliable and efficient solutions for coking processes.

Detailed introduction

The working principle of the top-charging coke oven machinery is that coal is loaded into the charging car on top of the oven via the coal tower, and then the charging car transports the coal into the oven for coking. The equipment involved includes a pushing machine, charging car, guiding car, locomotive car, quenching car, hydraulic reversing machine, oven door service car, and more. The top-charging coke oven machinery developed and manufactured by HDM is categorized based on the full height of the oven, accommodating ovens with heights of 4.3m, 5m, 6m, 6.25m, 7m, 7.2m, 7.63m, and 8m.

For stamping coke oven machinery, the process begins with coal being loaded into the charging car on the machine side via a coal tower located at ground level. The coal is then stamped into a cake of specific strength by the stamping machine. The charging car transports the stamped coal cake into the oven for coking. The equipment includes a pushing machine, charging car, guiding car, locomotive car, quenching car, hydraulic reversing machine, oven top U-tube smoke guide car, stamping machine, shaking feeder, and more. HDM’s stamping coke oven machinery is classified based on oven height, serving ovens of 4.3m, 5.5m, 6m, 6.25m, and 7.5m.

The heat recovery equipment consists of multiple furnaces, designed to achieve cogeneration of coke and power during the coking process. The principle involves recovering hot gas produced during coking under negative pressure, sending it to an exhaust-heat boiler for heat exchange, where superheated steam is produced. This steam drives a turbine, generating electricity. HDM’s heat recovery equipment includes coal-charging & coke-pushing machines, coke receiving & quenching cars, and ground stamping stations.

The coke bucket lifter, also known as the coke bucket crane, is specialized lifting equipment used in the dry-quenching system. HDM’s coke bucket lifter incorporates a modern motion-control principle, featuring a high degree of “standardization, universalization, and serialization.” It offers high spare part interchangeability, real-time monitoring, safety, and reliability, with a full series covering capacities from 63t to 132t.
