Special equipment for shipbuilding and offshore engineering

Cranes dedicated to oil drilling platforms are utilized for lifting and constructing offshore engineering equipment and facilities, such as offshore oil drilling platforms and vessels, which can weigh over 10,000 tons. Compared to traditional building methods, a single integral lifting can save over 2 million man-hours for customers, significantly reducing the construction period by more than 30%.

Detailed introduction

Cranes dedicated to oil drilling platforms are essential for lifting and constructing offshore engineering equipment and facilities, including offshore oil drilling platforms and vessels, that weigh over 10,000 tons. Compared to traditional construction processes, a single integral lifting can save over 2 million man-hours for customers, reducing the construction period by more than 30%. The 20,000t bridge crane designed and manufactured by HDM for Raffles Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. in 2006 has been successfully utilized for the integral lifting and assembly of offshore oil drilling platforms exceeding 10,000 tons.

Propellers, also known as screw propellers, convert engine power into thrust through blade rotation in water. HDM possesses a strong technological foundation in the development and manufacture of propellers used in container vessels, cargo ships, large oil tankers, and dynamic positioning systems for offshore drilling platforms, earning customer praise.

Deck cranes are high-capacity, multifunctional, and efficient lifting appliances designed for large vessels. HDM can develop and manufacture various types of deck cranes ranging from 1,100 to 3,500 tons.

Shipbuilding gantry cranes are high-capacity, multifunctional lifting appliances with a large span, dedicated to shipyards for section dividing, joining, and overturning large hulls. HDM has extensive experience in mechanical and electrical design, structural analysis, and has held independent core technology since developing the full VVVF shipbuilding gantry crane in 1999, offering different types of cranes with capacities from 200 to 800 tons.

The single-point mooring system is vital for offshore petroleum development. HDM developed this system for CNOOC to moor offshore petroleum processing devices and facilitate oil and gas transmission, with a total weight of 2,144 tons. The project encompassed construction preparation, overall steel structure manufacturing, casting production, and component assembly (excluding piping and electrical equipment).

Electrical swivels are key devices in single-point mooring systems. By undertaking the project on “Development of Internal-turret Single-point Mooring System and Hydraulic Swivel,” HDM has mastered crucial technologies for HV electrical swivels, offering design, manufacturing, and testing services for customers.

Hydraulic swivels, another core component of the single-point mooring system, enable HDM to provide construction concept designs, technical designs, and prototype testing and inspection for hydraulic swivels, tailored to customer needs.
