HDM began its foray into the tunnel boring machine sector in 2003. The company has established a dedicated team for the development and manufacture of shield machines and tunnel boring machines (TBMs). HDM is capable of independently designing and producing various types of shield machines, including slurry balance type, earth pressure balance type, combined type, as well as gripper-type TBMs and double-shield TBMs, with diameters ranging from Φ4m to Φ7m. These machines are widely utilized in tunnel and ductwork boring projects, including metro systems, municipal engineering, water supply and drainage, gas transmission, electric power, and water division projects.
